Q: How to replace a wheel stud in a toyota camry?
I have 1994 toyota camry LE and the right front wheel stud is worn out and a second one is missing. I need to replace them. Could someone who knows how to do this give me a good advise. I have already taken off the wheel and put a side a rotor with the brake caliper. Also I taken off an axle nut. Now I can’t figure out what I have to do next. Please help.
A: Look behind the studs on the hub. There is usually one little spot where the stud can back all the way out, like a pocket cut into the metal; anywhere else the stud will bump into the yoke or some part of the steering linkage. Rotate the hub so that the stud you want to remove is lined up with the pocket. Take an appropriate hammer (like a 2 lb dead blow or a lead mallet) and hit the damaged stud straight on, driving it out the back.
Make sure you have the -correct- replacement stud before you start, unless you’ve got another car to drive back to the store. I’ve gotten the wrong parts so many times from Autozone and Advance I have lost count.
When you buy the new studs, buy two oversized lug nuts; ones that are big enough to slide over the threads. The guy in the store will probably look at you funny. Use these to tighten the new stud. You can find pictures of what I’m talking about below.
Q: Can I send my 2004 Toyota Camry to Toyota to get the color changed?
Ok, so I found the perfect used 2004 Toyota Camry, everything seems to be perfect except it has a exterior colors that I do not like. So is it possible for me to send it to Toyota and change it to another color that I do like? And if I can do this, how much do you think this will cost? Please Help Me With This! Thanks!
A: Once it’s out the door of the manufacturing facility it’s basically the dealer’s problem.
Q: What kind of anti-theft features does a Toyota Camry 2011 come with?
I know nothing about cars. I drive a 2011 Toyota Camry SE. I want to know if there are any features that my car comes with to protect it? Like if someone broke a window, will the alarm sound? What if someone tried to start the car without the keys. My car has a start button, there is no keyhole to start the engine. What other anti theft features does my car have?
A: It comes with an alarm that if someone breaks a window or forces a door open it will sound.
The Push Start is a anti-theft device unto itself. Unless the key fob is near it won’t start. So a thief would have to emulate that frequency and the proper one at that. Because they all operate under a slightly different frequency.
It also comes with an engine immobilizer. If they did try to start it by hot-wiring it.
But no matter what if someone wants it bad enough. They’ll find a way to get it.

Q: Is it true that a catalytic converter and exhaust manifold on a Toyota Camry are one part?
The catalytic converter on my 2001 Toyota Camry needs to be replaced. The mechanic told me that the catalytic converter and exhaust manifold are all one piece and can’t be changed out separately on Camrys. Is this true? Or can the catalytic converter actually be replaced independent of the manifold?
The Camry is a 4 cylinder.
A: For 2001 Toyota Camry, the catalytic converter and exhaust manifold are all one piece.
That’s why they can’t be changed separately.
Q: How do i clean a toyota camry foggy yellow plastic headlights with out buying cleaning kits?
Toyota camry 1992 sedan headlights yellow foggy not clear at all!
A: The kit is easier to do and use but here you go
Start the repair with polishing compound and a flannel or microfiber cloth. Smear some compound on the lens and polish in a circular motion. As the polish gets ground into the cloth and dries out, it lifts the haziness right off the lens. Most of the compound eventually winds up on the cloth, but it probably takes about 10 minutes of rubbing per lens, so don’t be in a rush. If you have an orbital polisher, you can use that with a lambswool or terry-cloth pad. Don’t polish the paint off nearby surfaces. Simply proceed with compound until the lens is shiny.
Okay, you’ve been polishing one corner of the lens for a few minutes, and it’s better—but not perfect. The lens surface is far too degraded for the polishing compound to rescue it. There are still pits that you can feel and see.
Soak a piece of 1000-grit wet/dry sandpaper in cold water for 10 minutes. Lightly sand the lens in straight strokes. Methodically cover the entire lens surface, always sanding back and forth in one direction. Keep the surface wet while you work. Again, be careful not to damage nearby paint or trim.
Sand until the pits, discoloration and scratches you’re trying to eliminate are gone. Don’t rush this part. And don’t be afraid to dry the surface with a towel and check the uniformity of your sanding. When you’re done, clean and dry the area.
Now perform the same operation with 1500-grit wet/dry sandpaper, this time sanding at right angles to your previous work. Again, be methodical. Keep the paper wet, cover the entire surface and then clean up to remove any abrasive powder. Repeat the procedure, every time at right angles to the last sanding, with 2000-, 2500- and 3000-grit wet/dry. Clean up one last time. You might want to touch up or redo the masking tape along the way if it starts looking a little tattered.
Now go back to your compound and flannel to hand-polish out the final patina of scratches. Your lens should look like new—shiny and clear.
Clean up every last vestige of the abrasive polishing compound. Now wax the lens thoroughly with a paste car wax. This last step will keep acid rain, dirt and road salt from attacking the plastic, at least for a while.

Q: How can i do a 360 degree turn in a frontwheel drive 89 toyota camry?
so me and my friends bought a 1989 toyota camry for laughs and chuckles or (s&g’s). We have a gravel path that we whip it on, there are jumps and such. We want to know how to do a 360 degree turn either front or backwards, thank you for your help.
A: I figure an ‘89 camry (V6?) can do about 120 tops. Drop the hammer on the interstate, a few minutes later – when you’ve reached 110-120, pop it in reverse (with your foot still on the gas). You should be able to do 8-12 360’s in rapid succession. (Extra style points!) You’ll be a hero in jail.
Keep that helmet on… even when you aren’t driving.
Q: is it possible to buy a BRAND NEW 2004 Toyota Camry?
I am a big fan of the 2004 Camry’s, and I do not like buying used cars, so is it possible to buy a BRAND NEW 2004 Toyota Camry at all? How much would it cost? Where would I go? A Toyota Dealership, or the big Toyota Company itself? Please give a big positive helpful answer! Thank You!
A: Yes in fact I have several in my back yard for sale at $30,000 each.

Q: How do I remove the instrument cluster on a 1992 Toyota Camry LE?
I want to remove the instrument cluster (speedometer, gas tank level, temperature, etc…) on my 1992 Toyota Camry LE. Can anyone tell me how to do it in detail?
A:
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the bezel retaining screws from the underside of the
top of the cluster bezel. You will also have to remove the center
bezel which is around your cigarette lighter. a small screwdriver
in the corner will allow this to pop right out… ( Go Easy Here )
What I mean here is the complete bezel under the radio…the
black plastic molding…..
3.. Pull off the cluster dimmer switch knob and unscrew the switch
retaining nut.
4. Grasp the bezel securely and detach it from the clips, then pull
it out and disconnect the electrical connecotrs.
5 You are on your own from here.
I do strongly suggest going to a local library for the 1992-96 Camry
Haynes Repair Manual for the pictures of this somewhat simple
procedure. If not, you can pick up this book at almost any Auto
Parts store …
Good Luck to you…
Q: How do I replace the digital clock in a 1992 toyota camry?
how do I replace the digital clock in a 1992 toyota camry?
i am serious. i really need to replace it.
A: IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY THE CLOCK IS RIGHT ABOVE THE AIR DUCT IN THE CENTER.
REMOVE THE SCREWS AROUND THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND THEN YOU WILL BE ABLE TO POP THE BEZEL OUT.
YOU CAN ALSO SOMETIMES SLIDE A VERY THIN BLADE ALONG THE SIDE OF THE CLOCK AND POP IT OUT THIS WAY, BECAUSE IT SHOULD ONLY BE HOLDING IN BY METAL TABS ON BOTH SIDE.
