Q: Honda Civic?
I have a 2001 honda civic LX and earlier today i let my ex gf use it to go to jack in the box. She was backing out and she accidently hit my car backing it into a fence. My real left tail light broke, paint came off, and my rear fender got pushed in really badly and it’s coming off a little bit. Does anyone know how much that would roughly cost?
A: There are too many variables involved in body work to give you an accurate number without seeing the vehicle. The best thing you can do is go to a few shops and get some estimates. Nobody on this site is going to be able to give you a number without actually seeing the car.
Q: What is better about the Honda Civic than a Toyota Corolla?
Both 2010. My parents want to get the Corolla for its safety features, but I love the way a Honda Civic looks. What is good about a Civic?
A: Corolla is a safer car? Lmao. What is so safe about the 100% re-call rate Toyota had this year? What is so safe about Toyota’s 40% overall re-call rate. Many people died in a Toyota this year, simply because Toyota messed up with it’s accelerator. They also lied to the U.S. government, saying their cars had no problem until coming clean with the truth. Also Honda Civic is rated #2 in it’s class with 9.8 safety while Corolla is #18 and has a safety rating of 9.3. http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/rankings/Affordable-Small-Cars/ . Your parents are wrong. They are falling for Toyota’s lies, because they obviously don’t know that much about cars. My dad got into a accident with a 07 Civic, the car was totally destroyed and my dad came out of the car totally safe. Not even a little scratch. I prefer going American cars though, the more stylish Ford Fiesta is #1 in it’s class and beats both cars in safety with 10.0 rating(see link). I would suggest the Fiesta, for every American car bought 4 American jobs are saved. Ford is really on the rise, and they improved their quality a lot. A well taken Ford can last as much as a Honda or Toyota. However if you must go with Japanese cars and feed the Japanese, I would suggest the Civic.
Q: How do you install a radio in a honda civic 1995?
I have a dual xd1222 radio and I want to install it in a 95 honda civic. How would I do this?
A: pull old out, put new in
the12volt.com for wiring
Q: How widespread is the 06-08 Honda civic cracked engine block problem?
I was about to buy a 2008 honda civic lx until I started reading reports about cracked engine blocks. I always thought honda was very reliable and all, I just don’t get it.Should I buy one?
A: The engine block is covered for 9 years/unlimited mileage. And it is pretty common i work at a Honda dealer and i’ve installed several new blocks on 06-08 Civics.
96-2000 Civic’s are golden if you can find one in good shape, that’s what i recommend.
98-02 Accord 4 cylinders are also fantastic.
Q: What gauge clusters will fit in a 1991 Honda civic ef?
I have a 1991 Honda Civic Hatchbach. The guage cluster does not have a tachnometer. What are my options for replacing the whole cluster. I know the 90-91 honda civic si/crx have the tachnometer but what are my other options.
A: I used one from a civic wagon. Direct fit. Had the extra automatic shift letter that’s all.
Q: Is insurance on a honda civic hatch normally expensive for a first time driver?
we are considering buying a honda civic hatchback, it will be a first car for a 16 year old boy. what will the insurance be like for him to drive this? will it be high ? low?
A: I recommend you this site where you can compare quotes so you can find the best option for you

Q: Is it possible to work on and put aftermarket parts on a honda civic hybrid 1998?
Im looking at a honda civic hybrid with low miles really clean and in great condition. It is a 1998 which makes me think ..did honda even make hybrids back then? So is it possible for it to be a hybrid and if so is puting aftermarket parts on possible?
A: A 1998 “Hybrid” no they don’t exist, well they do have 1998+ Natural Gas (GX Model) Civic’s so I guess depending on how you look at it, it can be a hybrid.
I wouldn’t know where to find aftermarket engine parts for the hybrid models but you can visit sites to get exterior/interior parts for you car, you’ll just have to select your model as a 1998 LX since the GX is basically the LX model except it runs on CNG (Compressed Natural Gas).

Q: How much would a tune for a 2002 Honda Civic Dx Coupe with 4 cylinder?
So far my car is an 2002 Honda civic dx model 4 cylinder with 75,245 miles on it. I’ve already had an oil change, air and cabin filters replaced and I added some power steering fluid to a low reservoir. What else does my car need and do I make my mechanic aware of what I’ve already done to my car prior to tune-up?
A: Might be worth it to change your spark plugs & wires too. Also if the timing belt has not been replaced…Look into having that performed as well..seeing as its a Honda.
Q: How fast does a 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan accelerates from 0 to 60 mph?
How fast does a 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan (197hp) accelerates from 0 to 60 mph? Please provide website links, sources to support your answer. Thanks.
A: I have a stock 08 SI coupe and it will run 0-60 in 5.9 . I have tested three times at the track and its pretty consistent .
Honda is good at purposely not giving the correct numbers due to insurance . There is a lot on a new SI that is not listed just to save the buyers some cash on rates . The sedan , however, will run much faster than what it is rated for . I have seen many stock SI sedans run in the low 6 second bracket . Just ask any SI owner .
Q: Do replacement speakers for a Honda Civic make a big difference in music sound?
I am thinking of replacing my rear speakers, door speakers, dash speakers in my Honda Civic to improve the sound quality of my stereo. I’d also like to get a new in dash CD/radio because the factory installed model doesn’t play CD’s anymore. What can I expect to pay? Any advantage to using a large Best Buy over a local small town stereo shop?
A: If you pay decent money and research your products first you will definitely see an improvement in sound quality. Just don’t be cheap because you may be stepping down unintentionally. You can go local or big box stores, i find that local shops are more knowledgeable about the products they sell.
Q: Okay to compression start 2008 honda civic ex?
I just purchased a new Honda civic EX (2008, 5 speed). With my old car, I always roll-started it down my street (coast to about 20 mph, than pop the clutch in 2nd gear to start the engine.) Would it be okay to do it in my new car. It has a lot more electronics and such, and I want to make sure that a roll/compression start wouldn’t damage anything!
A: replacing a starter is always going to be cheaper than replacing your clutch… think big picture… besides… you bought a quiet car… unless you have some one with super sonic hearing why bother? it isn’t going to hurt the car if it is only done in a pinch…. but you will wear your clutch faster as well as your internals of your trans, as well as add un needed stress to other parts of the car i.e. c.v. shafts.
Q: My honda civic got flooded all the way to the top but will the transmission still work to put it on another ca?
My honda civic got flooded to the top last year because of the hurricane but what i want to know is if the transmission will still be good so that i can put it on another civic?
A: Probably not.
Q: What company is good for Honda civic performance parts?
BTW for a 1997 Honda Civic Ex.
A: Well I don’t know what the other two answers are about? For the record you have an EK! And the EX is the best model to work with other then the SI. If you look at EG’s (92-95 Civic Hatch, EJ1 92-95 Civic Coupe) they are the same motor and tranny from the SI Hatch and the EX Coupe, so go figure! As for companys that make performance parts for your car it’s outrageously crazy how many make parts for your car.
Lets start out with the most known. Spoon, Skunk2, Tein for suspension work, Hondata for your ECU or cars computer, AEM, BLOX, Megan, HFP (Honda Factory Performance), And MOST importantly this is the biggest in my opinion, MUGEN.
I guess what it comes down to is what parts you need and who offers the best product for that part at a good price. Lets face it, not everything needs to be name brand for it to due the same thing at the same quality like say, strut bars. They will all due the same function unless they’re really that crappy.
But hopefully this helps and don’t worry about haters! Your car is the best model besides the SI of course. It is wired for Vtec and has all the same amenities of an SI just not the motor an power, but that is easily taken care of! Good luck with your car though!
Q: What engine did the 1981 Honda Civic Wagon come with?
What engine did the 1981 Honda Civic Wagon come with? The version with a 5 speed manual transmission. I am trying to do research and I can’t find much info about it.
A: Either a 1.3 L EJ CVCC or a 1.5 L EM CVCC.
Q: Will 2005 honda civic ex brakes fit on a 1997 honda civic ex?
I have a totaled 2005 honda civic ex with new brakes and was wondering if they would fit on my 1997 honda civic ex. Also what other parts are interchangable between these two cars.
