Q: 2003 Honda Accord Radio panel went out How do I fix it?
I have a 20003 Honda Accord and my stero panal went out. Radio works but can’t see anything like the stations the clock or the Degrees for the heater.AC. I have already check the Radio fuse but that is fine. Please Help.
A: That is a known problem that has been recalled. If you are the original owner, you should have received a technical service bulletin in your mail. http://www.tsbdata.com/tsb/2003-honda-accord-l4-2_4l.html Jan. 2004 shows it and the number is 04-027. Call your local Honda dealer and tell them about it. They should replace if for free as long as the miles aren’t too high.

Q: What is the best way to lift a Honda Accord?
I have a 2001 honda accord sedan v6. With winter here I am finding it hard to drive my Honda Accord in the snow and rough weather, and i plan on installing some snow tires on it. I am looking for about a 3 inch lift. What lift should i get in regards to pricing and performance. And from what manufacturer can i purchase this lift?
A: Companies don’t make lift kits for cars. It would look stupid. It would handle poorly. It would ride poorly. It would kill your gas mileage. It wont be any better in the snow.
Go buy a truck.
Q: What size tire do I need for 2002 Honda Accord?
We are putting 18″ rims on my 2002 Honda Accord Couple SE. What size tires do I need to get so that i wont have to change the speedometer gear in the transmission? Therefore, I want to keep the outside diameter the same as the original.
A: It depends on how wide the rims you are getting are. http://tirerack.com has a calculator for the correct tire/rim combo.

Please give me complete details step by step how to install side skirts onto my car. Thank you.
A: Step by step? Sure.
1) put those skirts and brackets inside the car
2) get behind the wheel
3) drive to a body shop
4) have them do the installation
Q: How to remove a back seat in a 2008 Honda Accord?
I need to remove the back seat (the bottom part) in a 2008 Honda Accord and am unsure how it releases. Please help! Thanks in advance.
A: The seat bottom is held in place by a single bolt at the back, and a couple hooks at the front. Where the seat back and seat bottom meet, pull the seat bottom cushion back and there should be a single bolt toward the middle. Remove that bolt and make sure the seat belt buckles are all out of the way. Then tilt the seat bottom toward the front of the car and that will clear the front hooks and should be able to pull the bottom up and out of the way.
Q: How do you remove a headlight on a 93 honda accord?
I have a 1993 Honda Accord, and I cannot twist the socket around the headlight bulb to get the bulb out. It seems to be sealed on. So I was just going to remove the whole headlight, and go from there. Is there an easy way to do this?
A: there is an outer retaining ring on that headlight bulb that needs to be turned. you don’t turn the bulb! you need to disconnect the connector from the bulb then look at the back of the headlight. you’ll see a plastic ring that has four depressions that goes around the bulb. you need to turn that ring counter-clockwise to remove it. it only has to be turned about 1/8 turn to release the ring. you may be able to get two hands in to turn the ring. on some you have to pull out the ’snorkel’ tube from in front of the battery to get access to the bulb on the passenger side.
if you can’t move the ring (it will be tight!) try to use a hair dryer to heat up the ring. you don’t want to melt it but it may expand if you heat it with a blow dryer. I don’t think you want to use penetrating oil as you’ll never be able to grip the ring after you soak it.. Perhaps tapping on the ring with a screwdriver and hammer may loosen it if all else fails.
do not turn the bulb! if you are able to you’ll destroy the headlamp housing or your hand whichever gives way first.
to remove the headlight assembly you have to take the front bumper off. its to your benefit to do it in the car.
hope that helps

Q: Whats a better sound and performance upgrade for a Honda Accord 96, a flowmaster or a muffler?
I want to give my Honda Accord 96 a good sound and performance with either a Flowmaster or a muffler tip but I’m not sure which one to add to give it the best results possible.
A: You’ll need a new exhaust system, not just a muffler/resonator. To be honest, though, unless you’re also going to replace that sewing machine Honda engine (what, 2 liter?) you’ll still be blown away by stock Nissan Altimas and Dodge Neons.
I’ve never understood the rationale of the “tuner” car. You have a used vehicle with the original motor with a fair amount of miles on it. Then you want to tweak more horsepower out of it and continue to use the stock transaxle? Recipe for disaster. In addition, some of the more urban types here in Houston spend a lot of money on wheel and tire combos for a car with a Blue Book value of maybe $1200. I don’t get it.
Then again, I was 18 and stupid once. I had a ‘69 Mercury Marquis. I replaced the two barrel carb with a Holley 4 barrel and Edelbrock manifold (it came with a 429 Ford V8). I replaced the barcalounger suspension with pieces from a Mercury Montego, slapped a set of headers on it and dualed out the exhaust. It was the fastest 4800 pound luxury sedan (leather seats and interior) in Texas. Between 1979 and 1980 I ragged that motor out, punched a hole in the oil pan while pulling a Smokey and the Bandit maneuver on the Katy Freeway, and damaged the front suspension beyond repair.
EDIT: Sport Compact Car? That’s hysterical! Kid, you’re not going to get 300 horses out of a 2 liter four banger. The SR20DE is rated at what, 120 horses? It just won’t happen. By the way, my hobby car is an ‘82 280ZX. I haven’t owned an American car since 1980.
Q: How to replace right side tail lights on 2002 Honda Accord?
I own a 2002 Honda accord, and recently the right tail light, got damaged in a parking garage. Any idea on how to disassemble it, and possibly how to reinstall a new part?
Thanks in advance.
A: 1. Pull the trunk liner out just enough so that you can remove the hold down hardware.
2. Disconnect the wire harness.
3. Clean the mounting surface.
4. Reinstall the new light assembly.
5. Reinstall the mounting hardware.
6. Reconnect the wire harness.
Q: How does the body style of the new 2008 Honda Accord differ from the 2007?
Considering buying a 2007 Honda Accord but might reconsider if the new body style is different.
A: 1st of all, check honda’s website.
The 2008 accord is the 8th generation accord. It offers 3different engines. A 166hp 2.4l I4, a 200hp 2.4l I4, and a 268hp 3.5l v6. The sedans get better MPG than the coupe because of the VCM they’ve added. But take note theat the MPG will be lower for all because the new 2008 MPG calculations, everything will be lower.
The new accord is classified as a Large car by the EPA and is very spacious! IMO its a looker!! If you decide to go for it, i reccomend the EX or EX-l sedan. The EX models only recieve v6s this year but the EX I4 has 200hp!
Q: What car should i trade my honda accord with?
I got my brand new accord 2008 and i dont even have 12000 miles on it and the back brakes are all ready worn out i dont even drive my car. the dealership said it was because the new break pads are soft w/e. so i was thinking of either getting an
1.acura TL even though honda makes it
2. cadillac cts
what do you guys think any ideas suggestions?
okay well what car would you recommend me to get besides a Honda accord?
A: Acura TL is super nice and really modern looking. I would recommend that. The cts is ok, but its not as reliable as the Acura. You should look at an Lexus IS also.
You still need to fix the brake pads on the accord before you can trade it in though. See if the warranty covers it and then you can decide if you really want to keep it or trade it in. It still going to work just fine with the new brake pads.
Q: How often should I change my engine Oil for Honda Accord?
I’ve been told 3000, but my owners manual says 7500. I have a 98 honda accord v6 with 128k. I currently drive 35 miles (one way) to school, 4 times a week. I don’t drive aggressively or anything like and it’s usually raining where i live. I’m using castrol synthetic blend at every oil change. Would it okay to wait until 5k miles to get it changed?
A: Why not split the difference and change the oil and filter every 5,000 miles like Toyota still suggests today? Your manufacturer suggests using 5W-30 year round.
If you live where the temperature could dip below 0 Farenheit full synthetic 5W-30 Mobil1 pours @ -47 below 0. Castrol Edge is horribly overpriced. Valvoline, Quaker state and Pennzoil full synthetic is $20.00 for a five quart container at Walmart. Mobil1 is $22.00 and Mobil1 Extended Performance is $24.00 at Wally World.
Q: How do you replace a headlight bulb on a Honda Accord Wagon 1991?
how do you replace a headlight bulb on a Honda Accord Wagon 1991?
A: if it uses the bulb type that goes in from the back all you need to do is replace the bulb,do this by twisting the lock ring on the back of it and the bulb will come out, just don’t touch the new bulb with your fingers, the oil from your skin will shorten the life of it some, put it back in and install the ring, and plug the wire up and your done, good luck on it.
