Q: toyota tundra 2004. is it possible that the check engine light comes on when oil change is needed?
I have a Toyota Tundra 2004 and on the sticker it says oil change due at 180 000 km. My check engine light came on shortly after getting to 180 000 km. Will the check engine light come on to let me know that i am due for an oil change?

A: The Mp3 player you trying to put in is probably and after market so you can google up the brand and check for wiring diagram and then just splice the wires of the deck into the harness wire of the vechile but first get the diagram of the both aftermarkets audio wrie diagram and the cars.

if you don’t find one, try looking for a tacoma toy truck, as long as it doesn’t have a tacoma sticker on it, they look very similar.

A: Toyota has had a lot of quality problems with the Tundra. It has been recalled several times, it rusts out prematurely and there have been several major mechanical problems with the truck.

If you must buy foreign buy the Nissan but if you really want a durable work truck buy a Ford or a Chevy.

A: i own a repair shop,and have worked on both of these trucks before,,one is supposed to be tougher than the other one is,, the Tacoma is supposed to be more on the luxury side ,but both trucks are basically the same,,different trim packages and different styling set them apart ,,but very little,,if i had to choose between them,it would be a hard choice to make,,if you ever get a real good chance look at the two of them,you,ll see what I’m talking about,,good luck hope this help,s.,happy new years also.

Q: The speakers on my 02 toyota tundra sound distorted when I turn up the bass?
I never had that problem with any of my other vehicles, I replaced the speakers because I thought that was the problem but they still sound distorted. Would i need to replace the cd player?

A: You are overdriving the speakers – clipping. The Cd player can’t produce a clean enough sound at hi volume levels. Try a higher end amplifier or Cd player.

A: I used to be a lift truck technician. It would cost a good amount of money weather you did the work yourself or had someone do it for you. I don’t believe it would be worth your while. Best thing you could do is contact your local lift truck dealership and pick there heads for prices.

its that one. i just received it and once looking at how complicated it is i do not to do this one myself. plus you get a longer warranty if it is done by a certified Toyota technician. what will it cost to install it?

A: Agreed with first answer…if you go into the dealer for an oil change or something and u ask them to enable that option for you then they may do it for free. I have done something simalar before at the toyota dealer i work for and the service writer didn’t charge the customer; it only takes a minute to hook up the laptop and enable the option for u.

A: Get a tape measure and see. They measure in inches.

On some vehicles, the left and right wiper blade are different sizes, so measure them both.

Q: My 2001 Toyota Tundra 4.7L engine makes a clicking noise several minutes after start-up then dissapears?
I think the clicking could be exhaust manifold gasket leak, valves, or piston slap. Has anybody been able to fix this similar problem?

A: Does it start happening at startup and then go away after a couple minutes? If so It’s probably the manifolds. (can’t be sure without hearing it). It’s fairly common and the repair is new manifolds. I think the are re-designed actually. Get new O2 sensors at the same time.
