Q: Does anyone have a set of 4 stock wheels for a 1967 Chevy Suburban for sale? 15″ or 16″ with 6 bolt holes.

A: Go to ebay (want it now)
www.hemmings.com may have some

Q: Where can i find a chevy suv for sale for the exterior?
I need to find a chevy tahoe, suburban or GMC youkon for sale for the body. im trying to spend under 3,000. The years can be 1999- 2001. Need info ASAP. thanks

A: Yeah, Ebay is a good bet, but the local junkyard may be your best option. You may have to part a couple together. I don’t think there is a “good” place to find that. You just have to get lucky.

Q: does a fully loaded 2003 Chevy suburban have a built in sub woofer?
i was looking at a picture of one for sale. and was wondering if they have a stock sub-woofer in the back.

A: Not 100% sure but the style of cars coming stock with subs was started in 2007-08….although not too completely sure sorry

Q: Where can i find a 69-72 chevy suburban i really good condition that is affordable?
i have tried all aldchevytruck.com, classyauto.com and other similiar sites with no real luck, is there anywhere i can find one for sale

A: Unfortunatly, there are going to be very few of those that you will find that people are willing to sell. The auto trader website might be worth a look. If you haven’t tried it already.

Q: 1998 and 1999 Chevy Silverado,Tahoe,Suburban Question?
I thought that the body style of the 1998 Silverado,Suburban and Tahoe’s were different from the 1999 style ? But If you search for those Trucks and SUV that are for sale on the web you’ll get both styles. Why do they put those to styles together? Is there a year confusion when a style of vehicle make changes style of what year it is? Is it that they combine them because when the new year of style comes the dealerships are still selling off last years models? If you know anything about this some help would be appreciated. Thanks

A: the body style of the tahoe and suburban are the same for 96-99. As for the silverado, it is a different chassis obviously, but the trucks are usuaally listed the same for many of the parts, because in lamen terms, all three are essentially the same other than the suburban being extended and the silverado haveing a bed. Very few differences other than specifics that differentiate them by their chassis styles. if you are seeing a 99 that is a different body style, its actually a 2000 that is being tagged a 99 during the chang over period in the fall.

Q: Did Chevy have the first Suburban?
I was at a garage sale when I came across a chrome Suburban emblems Written in cursive, I had never seen one so I bought the pair for a buck. The guy told me he got it from his 50’s Pontiac Wagon. So, was he blowin smoke up my a.. or did Pontiac have the first Suburban

A: in a 1955 GMC made a Suburban Carrier Pickup

GMC made somewhere around 1000 of these trucks in four years this makes them rare, in 1955 around 300 were made. GMC used different running gear than the Chevy trucks and the interiors were different. The 6 cyl motors were GMC and the V8 motors were Pontiac design Pontiac has always had a relationship with GMC and in 1955 the new Pontiac V8 motor was shared with them. A 288 cubic inch motor was used in the trucks and 1955 is the start a long run with this motor for Pontiac.

there was the super-rare ‘57 GMC Suburban Town & Country pickup which was Pontiac-powered right from the factory

Q: i have a 1999 white suburban i would like to know the value of it?
the 1999 whit chevy suburban has been used very little and it has 80,000 miles on it the vehicle has 3 rows of seating and leather interior what would i be able to sell it for i live in New Jersey and if i was to just put a sighn in it for sale or trade it in to a dealer? which would be better but mainly im just curious whats it worth i would think anywhere from 5,000 to 10,000? thanks for your help

A: To get the value of a vehicle I usually use three different websites and average the results. The pricing of these three websites will not always agree, but they will be somewhat close.

On each site enter as much information as possible. Be completely honest when entering information about the vehicle condition. It is a very common mistake to over state the condition of your vehicle. Any potential buyer will very quickly notice this.

The ultimate value of a vehicle is the size of the check that someone is willing to write for it. For example the value of an SUV will be closely tied to the current price of gas. As the price of gas rises it becomes harder to sell a gas guzzling SUV. The price of gas is rising now. So you may need to ask a price that is less than the book value to sell the vehicle. Also any dealer knows this so you may get less than book value on trade because a dealer does not want to get stuck with a vehicle that would be difficult to sell.

Q: Rims – Weight ratings (what dealer says vs common sense)?
I was given a set of aluminum 8 lug rims that are 16.5″ x 12″ for my 1989 Chevy Suburban R2500. The rims are identical to the ones in the link below, except they are just bright aluminum rather than chromed. Any ways, there is a sticker on in rims that say “max load 2000lbs”. This is where I am concerned, the Suburban I have is a 3/4-ton, however it is a HD model and according to vehicle scales it weighs 10,436lbs. It was a custom ordered vehicle with a one ton frame and rear end and massive suspension, if you do the math and distribute 10K lbs to 4 wheels, that exceeds what the rims state they are limited to. Now I know there is more weight on the front than the rear, but it still comes out as exceeding what the manufacturer says. Yet every tire dealership I have been to says it doesn’t make any difference and it’s safe to use these tims on this truck. Are they full of it and just tyring to make a sale or what?

A: they will be just fine.

edit: and if they safeguard at 60%, then it should be good for 3300+

Q: Michelin LTX M/S or LTX M/S 2?
I have Michelin LTX M/S tires on my Chevy Suburban right now. They have been great tires, but they have finally worn down and I need new ones. I see that there are now Michelin LTX M/S 2 tires for sale. They have good reviews just like the LTX M/S, but I can’t find any reviews comparing the two tires to each other. I don’t want to assume the M/S 2 tires are better just because they are newer. Anyone have any experience with owning both of the tires, and which ones did you prefer? Thanks

A: Why wouldn’t you assume the new replacement tire is better than the ancient 20 year-old tire design it is replacing? Do you really think a tire manufacturer like Michelin which only produces premium, high-end product is going to come out with a new product that doesn’t outperform the product it supercedes?

A: Have you tried Dunlop tires? They are the best tires available in my opinion…all application all performance categories.
