Q: 1969-70 Dodge Charger/Challenger for sale?
Does anybody on here have one of these cars for sale in the Midwest that’s not outrageously expensive? It doesn’t need an engine, transmission, or good paint. I’m looking for a project car, but with interior (seats, seat belts, etc.) and it has to be for a few hundred, maybe a couple thousand, but that would push it a little.

A: Is this close enough? I know it’s more than your budget and it’s a Plymouth but…

Q: Dodge Charger or Challenger?
I was going to buy a project car, and have found both a 1966 Charger and a 1970 Challenger for sale. The Charger is all there and would run except for an electrical short; the Challenger is just a shell. Both are around $2000 and need to be towed. Right now, it seems to make more sense to buy the Charger, but I’ve heard that fully restored Challengers can go for quite a bit. Any advice?

A: As the owner of several Challengers over the years and still owner of one and caretaker of several more, I’d pick the ‘66 Charger. The Challenger is worth more restored to original specs but to get it there will cost $$$$. The Charger is complete and has an electrical short, you have a lot to work with and there weren’t that many built. You don’t say anything about engine or trans, but the bigger the engine the higher the value.

Q: does anybody know when the dodge challenger is going to be for sale at dealers?

A: The Challenger comes out Spring of 2008…only 3500 cars for first issue. Spring of 2009 will be full production release year. The first issue vehicles will be fully loaded and very spendy…I was told by my local dealer that only one car for every dealership in the U.S. and will cost around $50,000.

Q: When will the 2010 dodge challengers be for sale?
thanks

A: It should be late September but I would expect them out later than that. I work for the factory that makes the steering gear for that vehicle, and we aren’t even scheduled to be called back to work until August. So I would expect it out about late October early November. If you want one you better get it soon, rumors have been that 2010 will be the last year for that car.

Q: Anyone have a 1993 Sea doo 180 challenger SE?
I found this boat for sale and I’m looking for some advice on it. Looking to see if I’m wasting my money or not. It looks cool, but I haven’t had a chance to take it out for a test-drive yet.

Please let me know what the lowdown is for this boat!

A: It’s a boat.

Q: Question on 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T with power windows rear defrost and power disc brakes. How rare is it??
I have the car for sale on ebay item #280161415338. My build sheet list these items but I can’t find one like it and have never heard of these options on an R/T. any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

A: I can tell you how many they made with each option. These figures are statistical approximations based on US figures, so it doesn’t include Canadian or Export vehicles. Likewise, it is statistically impossible to to combine figures, so you cannot combine the 3 to find out how many were made with that combo. Any time you see someone doing that with Mopars, they’re either ignorant about the numbers or they’re trying to pull a fast one on you.

Power Windows – 560
Defrost – 1134
PDB – 4702

Q: Anyone have any older muscle cars for sale?? Preferably a camaro, nova, chevelle, mallabu, impalla, mustang…
Anyone have any older muscle cars for sale?? Preferably a camaro, nova, chevelle, mallabu, fairlane, impalla, mustang, charger, challenger, comet, barracuda, falcon or comet. The late 60’s and all through the 70’s.

A: Check Hemmings Motor News they have all the classifieds in the world for that kind of thing= those muscle-cars are the new classics

Q: ‘70 challenger or ‘69 charger?
my dad has in mind to buy one of these muscle cars, so we just need help on deciding which one, we are going toward the challenger because we like the body a bit more than the charger, but the charger seems like a better, more prestigious car
any suggestions on which one we should go for, and if you can could you post a link to one for sale preferably somewhere in california because we live in southern california, but anything will do,
Thank you

A: The 69 charger (RT). More power and faster than the challenger.

69 Charger: 425 hp, top speed 133mph
70 Challenger: 385 hp, top speed 125mph
Both are for the R/T models

Q: Should I Buy a 97 SEA DOO Challenger 1800?
There’s an opportunity to buy a 1997 Sea Doo Challenger 1800 Twin engines with Trailer for 1700 dls, but owner said “one engine works fine but the other im not sure 100%” Well, my dad said ” that’s a good opportunity go a ahead and buy it, these boats are for sale around 5000 dls”. So don’t know what to do…..The top of both engines were opened by owner and there’s a little bit of corrosion inside and around the pistons, as well. He said “I didn’t flushed properly the last time he used in salt water (sea)”.
That boat is really nice but a i cant afford more that 5000 dls to get a newer model :(

What’s the advise, then? Make the purchase or not?

A: even though it sounds like a good deal there are a few things you mentioned that would make me pass and look for another. the boat market is soft so dont feel like there wont be other deals. just save more cash in the mean time.

“one engine works fine but the other im not sure 100%”

The top of both engines were opened by owner and there’s a little bit of corrosion inside and around the pistons, as well

“I didn’t flushed properly the last time he used in salt water (sea)”.

these 3 statements tell me that this is a boat to stay away from. a little corrosion leads to a LOT of corrosion. he admits to not flushing properly. its like unprotected sex. it only take once.

Q: Muscle Car Projects For Sale?
I’m looking for a restoration project on Muscle cars, preferably a 1970-1974 Plymouth Barracuda, 1969-1973 Ford Mustang, 1970-1974 Dodge Challenger, 1970-1973 Chevrolet Chevelle. I live in the UK so British sites would be ideal. :) The condition of the car isn’t important as long as the chassis is fine. Thanks =D

A: E-bay has a special classic car auction on their site. You would have to check it frequently. Most of the cars go very quickly and a Barracuda will go quicker than most no matter what the condition of the vehicle.

Q: Battle of the Base Model Giants. Mustang V6 vs Camaro V6 vs Challenger V6?
The internet is amass with V8 queries into what muscle car is the best and what is to be the best when the new 2011 Mustang debuts with the new V8 5.0.

My question is what is the best basic model ( Mini Muscle ) car would be? The 2011 Mustang with the new 3.7L V6 good for over 300hp – the 2011 Camaro with the continuing 3.6L 304hp V6 – or the 2011 Challenger with the continuing 3.5L 250hp V6.

Of course, these are the sales leaders and I am curious how many people will respond to the question about the base model of their pulse pounding vehicles.

Magazines say that the Challenger is the old school cruiser, with old school handeling and looks. – The Camaro is a scorcher V6 and fun to drive hard but has so so interior quality – and the 2010 Mustang was the sleeper with the antique 200hp V6, but with the new 300+ hp V6 I believe the Mustang is the new game changer for the V6 Mills.

What you think?
Tannor – You will be very happy to hear that I own a 2004 Ford Mustang Convertible with the V6. Despite what every else was telling me, I put a chrome ” V 6 ” Badge on the flank and am keeping a single pipe on the car. I love Mustangs but can’t afford the insurance on the V8. If you don’t pose like a V8, you don’t get laughed at :)

B.T.W. Not planning on buying one, I was just curious what everybody thought. Glad Mustang is ahead with the first 2 answers going for the pony.

A: If you are looking for one I would recommend the V6 mustang or Camaro. Mustang if you plan on upgrading engine parts in the future, or camaro or mustang stock. I would never take the challenger because it lacks performance to the extreme. You are better off with the V6 mustang overall though because the camaro and challenger are supposed to have big burley V8’s, so if you show up with a V6 you look like a poser. With the mustang it wont matter because the 2011 V6 is putting out numbers close to that of the 2010 V8. Save yourself embarrassment and go with the mustang. Personally I am a camaro guy, but not the V6, dont be a poser. I like the mustang for its V6, hope I helped.
