Q: 91 CAMAROS FOR SALE??????
WHERE CAN I FIND 1991 CAMAROS FOR SALE I DONT WANNA BUY ONLINE doyou know like a website that showS them near you (so you could go by and see them in person?
A: Where have you been for the past five years?
craigslist.org
Q: Did any of the 3rd generation Camaros (82-92) come available with both a manual tranny and a 5.7 (350) stock?
I was wondering if that was an option with any of the third gen Maro’s because the only ones I can find online for sale had a vette engine swap for the tpi 350, or just a generic carbed 350 from jegs or something.
A: People, get your facts straight before posting..
NO The third gen was NEVER offered with a 5.7L (350) engine and a T5 5 speed.
Reason why is GM knew the T5 was too weak to handle the added 40, 50, 70 ft lbs torque of the 350 engine
You could ONLY get the 5.7 L with the 700r4 4 speed auto.
Only the 305 (5.0L) got the T5 5 speed as well as the v6 engines
This goes for the firebirds as well
Q: Camaro transmition swap auto to manual?
I have been looking at fourth gen camaros for a while and i am unable to find any for sale with a manual trans. I was looking more at the 1993-1997 Camaros with the LT1 engine. I was wondering if i could easily swap a manual transmition into it. Would it just require swappting the trans and axle, or do i have to change other things to make it work. Also if i decided to do this, would i have to use a V8 transmission, or could i use a V 6 manual. I have found sevral camaros with V6 and 5 speeds, so if i cant swap the gearbox, i might buy a v6 and supercharge it or something. Which do you thing would be cheaper, swap maunal trans into a LT1, or supercharge a V6? Also is the LS1 a lot better than the LT1? I’ve always liked the design of the LT1 camaros more than the LS1s.
So my main question is how hard would it be the swap the trans from auto to manual on a LT1 camaro. Any other questions you answer would be appreciated, but not necessary.
A: ok first off, Tyler M, shut up, your full of crap kid grow up. and yes it would be a big deal. the newer style transmissions(i know atleast in the ls1 not sure about lt1) are electronic, even the manuals. they have electronic shift gates, like 1st to 4th shifting for gas mileage purposes and the reverse lockout. and you will have to do some mods for the pedals and do some wiring for the neutral safety switch and reverse lights to work with the manual tranny. you wont have to touch the rearend at all, only change the driveshaft. the 6speed transmission alone is almost going to cost you as much as a cheap camaro is, then all the fabricating and time spent really isnt worth it. just wait for the right car to pop up. hopes this helps.
Q: 1991 chevy camaro engine?
did all 1991 camaros come with fuel injection or did they still sell them with carbs too? i thought they were all either tpi/tbi but i was looking at one for sale today and noticed the engine was carbed. and do engines with carbs differ in horsepower/torque form fuel injected ones? thanks for the help.
A: All the factory engines used in the 1991 camaros have fuel injection. The V-6 3.1 liter uses MFI and One of the 5.0 liters the LO3-V8 uses the TBI fuel injection system all other V-8 engines use the TPI system.Best of luck.
Q: Should i take a chance at this 68′ camaro?
Hi to all…I just found a 1968 camaro for sale for about $3000…but here comes the problems…the car doesnt have engine or tranny. The interior needs alot of work and the whole car has rust and needs some work. Pretty much i would get only the chassis and body. And to all, the “owner” doesnt have the title and the car hasnt being registered for a long time.
Now, i love camaros…specially the 68-69 camaros. I always try to look for one around my budget but never find any since i am a student at a university. Still, i am planing on doing the fixing and the body work myself and even the engine work with a friend.
Is this car worth it?….If i plan to get it i know it would take me hella long time to restore it but is one of my dream to own a camaro….Finally, how much trouble would i be dealing with registration since the current owner doesnt have the title?
I live in Cali. and i find this cars which cost a lot of money for me…should i take a chance on this one??
Thanks 2 all..
A: The only way I would even consider 3000 for a 68 in the condition you describe is if it has something that makes it exceptional (like a Z28 or COPO package, or something equally rare). If its a basic run of the mill Camaro, you can find a clean one for that kind of money.
Q: 6.6l Duramax Question?
I have been looking for a truck for a little while for a every day (camaros don’t work well in Connecticut winters). I found a guy looking for a quick sale on a 2006 Silverado 2500 it only has 52,000 miles and he is only asking $7,500 for it. It seemed to good to be true but everything seems to be working like new on it. My question is I wont be using it for much towing so how is it in practical use? What can I expect for fuel mileage and how much it takes to maintain these engines as diesels are not something that I am well acquainted with?
Well regardless if this one is a scam I am still interested in learning about it.
A: That, mi amigo, is what is known as one of those all-too-common Craigslist scammer ads.
Oh well.
Q: I want to buy a Corvette(75-82) but how fast are they?
I want to get a car loan, and buy a vehicle in about a year. I’m going to sale my camaro, and save up so I can buy an old muscle car that is in great shape. The problem is that though Corvette Stingrays have been my dream car for practically my who life, Im starting to question how fast they go. A lot of the 77-82 models, my favorites, have a top speed of 85 mph(seriously I would be almost driving top seed on the highway driving 75). So my question is this…does the stingray really have a top speed of 85mph with a V8 350 engine, or is that just a lie on the dashboard.
Also I would like to know if the Sec Gen Camaros have better performance, then its older sister Corvette Stingrays. And what is the Gas millage for both…just something i’ve been wondering for some time now
THANKS!
A: Faster than my scooter… but not as fast as my space ship.
Q: 2010 Camaro front license plate??? Texas?
I live in Texas and it is required by the state to put a license plate on the front and the back of your car. The Camaros that I see for sale in my local area dont have the place made in the front to put the license plate at even though when I saw a Camaro on the street the other day it had a front license plate. So do I have to get a front license plate on it if the ones at the dealers dont have it? (In case you didnt know the Camaro has a V-Shape front) Excuse this if you think its a stupid question.
Thanks
A: The other vehicles you are seeing were not originally sold in Texas. The auto manufacturers do not put the front plate bracket on vehicles that are to be sold in States that do not require a front plate. It saves them money. You are required to have a front plate installed, so go to a dealer and have it placed on your car.
